LeBron James just scored his 38,388th point in the NBA against the Oklahoma City Thunder to become the all-time leader in points scored in the NBA.
The bucket that broke the record was a mid-range fadeaway at the end of the third quarter. The Lakers are currently trailing in this game but everybody is celebrating conquering arguably the greatest regular season record.
Fans just saw history be made and gave LeBron James his flowers, hailing him as the greatest player of all time for a 20-year career of consistent excellence.

The GOAT debate is unnecessary in this situation, as tonight is LeBron’s night and he needs to be appreciated for the same without people trying to compare his greatness with others. Whoever your GOAT is, there’s no denying what LeBron just achieved is arguably the toughest record in the NBA to earn.
What More Does LeBron James Need To Do?
LeBron James has had an incredible career. He has accomplished everything he set out to do and has been an impeccable player consistently for 20 years. With this record clinched already, James can now focus on winning championships for the rest of his career.
Sadly, this Lakers team won’t lead him to a title given how they’ve performed tonight, especially with him on the floor. Hopefully, his greatness can stick on for a few more years as he can try and continue his quest for NBA Championships. He’s done everything he can for the game and deserves to be recognized.
