LeBron James is breaking the NBA meta. For the past 70+ years, fans and experts knew what to expect when it came to longevity and how long a player’s career could realistically last.
Somehow, at age 38, James is still one of the league’s top players and there’s no telling when he’ll actually slow down. But for LeBron, the future of his NBA career isn’t without a plan.
As James has stated many times over the past few years, his ultimate goal is to play with his son, Bronny, at the NBA level. In a recent chat with ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the King spoke about that goal and whether or not he’s had any conversation with Bronny about it.
“We don’t discuss, but he hear it. He sees it. He hears what I say. I had I ask him what are his aspirations, and he says he wants to play in the NBA,” James said. “So, if he wants do to it, he’s got to put in the work. I’m here already, so, I’m just waiting on him… he got a long way to go to get to me.”

As a senior in High School, Bronny is just months away from making a major transition and he should be heading straight for the Draft after his first year of college ball is over.
So, LeBron won’t have to wait much longer for his son to make his NBA debut. Before then, though, he’ll have to choose where he wants to play for college.
Collegiate Teams Are Lining Up To Sign Bronny James
Bronny’s college experience could have major implications on his NBA career, so he’s going to need to focus on making the right decision there if he wants to maximize his chances of success in the NBA.
Bronny is not a five-star prospect, but his talent and game could thrive under the right conditions. As of the time of writing, there are at least 9 college teams who have made an offer to James.
James, a 6’3 190-pound senior combo guard, has yet to make a decision on his basketball future. While his father was the presumptive No. 1 pick from the time he was a junior, entering the NBA straight out of high school, Bronny will choose between a slew of NCAA scholarship offers or perhaps the G League for his next step.
USC is a major factor in the recruiting of Bronny James in his senior season. The Sierra Canyon (Calabasas, Calif.) native has received official offers from Memphis, Ohio State, USC, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina and Oregon.
The 18-year-old, won’t “likely won’t sign until the spring,” Forbes Sports’ Adam Zagoria reported.
Wherever James goes to school, he can rest easy knowing one of the greatest players of All-Time is waiting for him on the other side.
Hopefully, his path to the NBA is successful and he breaks out into a star just like his father did almost 20 years ago.
