LeBron James is well-known for his exploits on the basketball court, and he has been dominant for almost two whole decades. He is still playing at a superstar level for the Los Angeles Lakers, and LeBron James is currently averaging 27.4 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 6.7 APG.

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing on Christmas Day, and that means that LeBron James has to be away from his family for the duration of the game. However, he still managed to do a special gesture for his family, shouting them out during the game.

I know I’m not with y’all today, but I do miss y’all. Savannah, Bronny, Bryce certainly. My Mama… see y’all soon, I love y’all.

To the NBA, I appreciate y’all allowing me to play on Christmas once again. Love, love, love.

There is no doubt that being away from one’s family on Christmas Day can be tough, but it is clear that LeBron James managed to find a way to express his appreciation for them regardless. LeBron James is well-known for being a family man, and he even has tattoos of his children.

LeBron James Needs Some Help This Year

As of right now, LeBron James’ situation with the Los Angeles Lakers isn’t good from a basketball perspective. They are currently a poor team, and he is an aging superstar tasked with trying to carry them.

Many believe that the Los Angeles Lakers need to make a win-now trade to maximize LeBron James this year. The Lakers have been reluctant to trade their draft picks thus far, and LeBron James seemingly called them out about that reluctance after the Anthony Davis injury.

“Not a question for me. I have no idea. When I’m playing, I show up. Prepare and work and get my guys ready to go win a basketball game. I play the game, I’m not in the front office. We’ll see. I’m focused on the game and just trying to win basketball games, especially when I’m on the floor.”

It remains to be seen if the Los Angeles Lakers will improve throughout the season under LeBron James’ leadership. They might be without Anthony Davis for a period of time, and it is imperative that LeBron James keeps them afloat so that they have a chance of making the playoffs through the play-in tournament.

Hopefully, LeBron James manages to win another championship before he retires. It is unfortunate that his high-level individual play is being wasted on a non-competitive Lakers season as of right now, but perhaps the team will be better as the season goes on.
