Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic may well be on his way to capturing his third-straight MVP. This season, he’s been even better than usual with ridiculous stats and historic performances (including a 40-27-10 game against the Hornets), on a Nuggets team that now sits at the top of the Western Conference standings.

But in Denver’s 105-91 win over the Grizzlies last night, it wasn’t by some insane stat line that Jokic went viral. Instead, he made waves for his pre-game fashion choice which caught a lot of people by surprise… including TNT’s Charles Barkley.

The Joker clearly meant business for the game, which is fitting since he dropped a 13-point triple-double in a win against a Western Conference rival.

After the game, however, Jokic explained the suit and revealed his mentality when it comes to showing up on game day.

“I started doing it this season. I think it’s one way to represent yourself. I just don’t like how the guys are dressing up for the games. Wearing a suit means business. I’m here to do my job.”

Jokic had a great game and, more importantly, got the W. So, it was a pretty great night for him overall.

As far as what we can expect from him and the Nuggets moving forward, fans have a lot to be excited about.

The Denver Nuggets Are Championship Contenders This Season

Jokic is already one of the best Nuggets players in team history and winning. a title with the team would cement his legacy as one of the greatest to ever play the game.

As Jokic himself put it, he wants to be the Tim Duncan of his franchise.

Jokic certainly doesn’t want to go down that path. If anything, the Joker wants to become the Tim Duncan of the Denver Nuggets. The reigning MVP revealed that on NBA media day.

“I want to be the Tim Duncan of the Denver Nuggets, but I need to win a couple championships to be him.”

During his career with the Spurs, Duncan helped the team win five NBA Championships. As a result, he is considered one of the best big men to ever play in the league. Can Jokic go down the same path? If he wants that to happen, he really needs to become a better player during the playoffs.

It remains to be seen if Jokic can reach that level of success in his career, but he seems to be on the right track as the leader of a surging Nuggets squad.

The guy is really taking care of business this season, and the whole world is starting to take notice.
