We have officially crossed the December 15th mark, which means that the trade rumors will likely be heating up until the February trade deadline. There’s no doubt that there will likely be a number of teams trying to make upgrades to their roster, and there are a number of solid players currently on the trade market.

A video of Brian Windhorst talking about the Memphis Grizzlies potentially trading Danny Green recently went viral on Twitter. In the clip, Windhorst breaks down the trade scenario while sitting right next to Danny Green, which made for a hilarious situation.

Brian Windhorst: They have extra draft picks, they have tradeable pieces. This is awkward, Sorry to say this Danny… He has an expiring contract… One of the people the people are talking about, if the Grizzlies want to upgrade, will they call about Danny Green and a draft pick… I do think you’ll hear your name, I’m sorry to say, in some trade discussions.

Danny Green: I’m not shocked. At this point in my career I’ve heard my name quite often.

There have been no previous reports about Danny Green potentially getting traded, but it is easy to see how a package featuring his expiring contract and a draft pick could be appealing to a team that wants to offload a veteran. The Memphis Grizzlies are a competitive team this year, and it is quite possible that they will make a trade. Ja Morant has been an MVP candidate this year, and it’ll be interesting to see what moves the team makes if any to help him win a championship this year.

The Memphis Grizzlies Have A Genuine Franchise Player In Ja Morant

There’s no doubt that Ja Morant has impressed fans with his athleticism, swagger, and playstyle, and many believe that he can be an elite franchise player. Allen Iverson has recently praised the young superstar, claiming that he is “the real deal”.

“I might not see it in the actual style of play, but the speed, the attitude, the bounce. Ja is 6’3″ and can fly. Ja is the real deal.”

Hopefully, we see Ja Morant have a career that is as successful as Allen Iverson’s. Both stars play bigger than their size and are not afraid of any opponent. Allen Iverson notably won the MVP award, and perhaps Morant can do the same in the future.

There’s no doubt that Ja Morant is the face of the Memphis Grizzlies, and we’ll see how far he manages to lead them. They are an elite young squad, and a championship is not out of the question.
