The Los Angeles Lakers have been busy making moves this offseason, and for good reason. It is clear that they are eager to bounce back and have a competitive year after their disastrous 2021-22 season.

One of the ways that the Los Angeles Lakers have tried to improve their roster is by exploring trades with other franchises. It was recently reported that they have ongoing talks with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Jazz are currently at 17 players, which means the roster will have to be trimmed by at least two by some point before the beginning of the regular season. And the front office isn’t done taking trade calls. League sources indicate a market for Bogdanovic, at the very least, of which there is significant interest for the 6-foot-8 shooting forward. But, the Jazz, at this point, don’t appear to be particularly close to a trade that could land them even more assets and consolidate the roster, although there are ongoing talks with the Los Angeles Lakers.

There is no doubt that making a trade with the Utah Jazz could end up being a good move for the Los Angeles Lakers. The team has a lot of solid players, and recently, it was revealed which players the Los Angeles Lakers are targeting from the Jazz roster.

The Los Angeles Lakers Clearly Want 3PT Shooting

The two biggest problems for the Los Angeles Lakers last season were their lack of defense and absence of consistent 3PT shooting. It seems as though the Los Angeles Lakers are trying to solve that by making a deal with the Utah Jazz.

A recent report by Jovan Buha and Sam Amick of The Athletic revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers “targeted” Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, and Malik Beasley in their latest trade talks with the Utah Jazz.

In recent conversations with the Jazz, the Lakers have targeted Bogdanović, Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley, according to league sources.

It remains to be seen if the Los Angeles Lakers and the Utah Jazz will find a deal that works for both parties. The Los Angeles Lakers do have some draft compensation that they could send to the Utah Jazz to make any potential deal appealing.

Hopefully, we see the Los Angeles Lakers field a competitive team after revamping their roster. They still have the ability to win a ring with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and we’ll see if they can get back to the playoffs next year.
