Collin Sexton was injured for the majority of this past season, but before that, he was regarded as one of the league’s most promising young guards. Collin Sexton is a true three-level scorer and has a complete offensive package. During the 2020-21 season, Collin Sexton averaged 24.3 PPG, 3.1 RPG, and 4.4 APG for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It was recently announced that the Cleveland Cavaliers have traded for Donovan Mitchell. The full package included Collin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen, Ochai Agbaji, and multiple draft picks and draft swaps.

Collin Sexton Has Signed A Four-Year, $72 Million Deal With The Utah Jazz

As a part of deal, Collin Sexton signed a four-year, $72 million deal with the Utah Jazz via sign and trade. It seems as though the entirety of the contract is fully guaranteed. Collin Sexton has been a restricted free agent this summer, and he finally gets his multi-year lucrative contract. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported the news.

We don’t often see a young star like Donovan Mitchell get moved, but the writing was certainly on the wall for that move to happen. The Utah Jazz ended up trading Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the offseason, and it was only a matter of time before the Utah Jazz ended up moving their other star player to start a new era for the franchise.

The Utah Jazz will now have a young player that could potentially become a true star for the franchise in the future. It is clear that they are in a rebuilding process right now, and hopefully, they are able to get a top-tier draft pick this season and get an elite prospect such as Scoot Henderson or Victor Wembanyama.
