Steve Kerr Says He’d Love To Coach Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Great Player, But He Seems Like A Great Person As Well.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best superstars in the league today. He is a two-way player capable of being the best offensive player on a championship team while also providing elite rim protection and multi-positional defense on the other end of the floor. There’s a reason that he was able to win a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks and almost every individual award in the game.

It seems as though Giannis Antetokounmpo commands a lot of respect in the league. Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr revealed that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the one player that he’d love to coach aside from the current members of the Golden State Warriors.

Choose a current NBA player, apart from the Warriors, that you would like to coach. 🤔

Giannis (Antetokounmpo), I would love to coach Giannis, he’s a great player, but he seems also like a great person.

It remains to be seen if Steve Kerr ever gets to coach Giannis Antetokounmpo. Obviously, every single team in the league would love to have him on their roster, but that’s easier said than done. In fact, Steve Kerr once claimed that Giannis Antetokounmpo, along with LeBron James and Stephen Curry, are the only untradeable players in the NBA.

“How many players are truly untouchable in the NBA? LeBron, Steph, and Giannis? That’s about it. Everyone is tradeable.”

Of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo is untradeable as he is a superstar in his prime. But if Giannis Antetokounmpo was somehow traded to the Golden State Warriors, he would likely truly become unstoppable. Having him next to the best shooter of all time, Stephen Curry would make for some must-watch basketball. Giannis Antetokounmpo notably admires Stephen Curry, and he congratulated the point guard after Curry was able to win his first Finals MVP at the conclusion of the 2022 playoffs.

“Congrats to them,” Antetokounmpo said. “They worked extremely hard, played through adversity. They’ve been together ten years, they’ve had a great decade, it’s unbelievable. And Steph Curry, there’s no better person in the world right now that deserves the trophy more than him. He played his butt off and I’m happy for them.”

As of right now, there’s no reason for Giannis Antetokounmpo to leave the Milwaukee Bucks. They have built a contending roster around him, and they will be one of the favorites to win the championship next season.

However, we never know what will end up happening in the future. Perhaps one day we’ll see Giannis Antetokounmpo leave the team that drafted him, and if he does, perhaps we’ll see him end up on the Warriors with Steve Kerr.
