Skip Bayless Reveals His Wife Was Angry At Him For Comments On Bronny James: “She Was On, As Usual, LeBron’s Side And Bronny’s Side.”

One of the biggest names in basketball media proudly announced that his show will start regularly featuring critiques on the 16-year-old son of basketball superstar LeBron James, Bronny James. The man that is involving Bronny in his show’s content is none other than the incomparable Skip Bayless.

This all started when a clip of Bronny throwing down a massive dunk in a game went viral, to which Bayless shared the clip and started comparing Bronny’s finish to how his dad would, implying Bronny wasn’t strong enough to dunk with his left hand. This upset many fans as Bronny is just a kid and shouldn’t be included in Skip’s larger commentary against LeBron.

After announcing that Bronny is going to be a focal point of Undisputed going forward, Skip ruffled some feathers with his wife, as he himself revealed on his show.

“I don’t read my comments on Twitter. So at the end of the night, Ernestine, who’s barely speaking to me thanks to you (signals at his co-host Shannon Sharpe). She said, ‘well, you did it again, you’re getting ripped for ripping on this poor kid. You gotta lay off the kid.’ And she was on, as usual, LeBron’s side and Bronny’s side.”

Naturally, Skip’s wife understands that hating on a 16-year-old child may be excessive. Bronny is going to benefit a lot from his last name and who his father is, so this may just be the drawback of being as high profile as he is.

For Skip, this is a natural progression of events. As LeBron nears the end of his career in the NBA and Bronny is coming up the ranks of high school and college basketball, Skip needs to refocus on the next generation of stars coming into the league. He has already had a near-20-year stint of talking about LeBron, and it seems he is trying to switch over to Bronny as soon as he can.
