Donovan Mitchell is well-known for being one of the most athletic guards in the league, and he is very capable of slashing to the basket and scoring at the rim. He has had quite a few ferocious dunks in league games in the past.
It seems as though Donovan Mitchell’s insane dunking has continued in the offseason. A video of the shooting guard doing a windmill dunk went viral. Lamar Jackson, the star quarterback from the Baltimore Ravens, reacted to the dunk, claiming that he saw Donovan Mitchell do this dunk their freshman year of college at the University of Louisville and that he “thought it was fake” at the time. The two stars notably have a friendship from their time in college.
I remember he Did this our freshman year in college I still thought it was fake 🤣🤣 @spidadmitchell https://t.co/r15bnCHRco

There is no doubt that a good number of fans were there to watch Donovan Mitchell play, and this dunk alone is an amazing sight to see. Some of them even chanted “Miami” at Mitchell, in an attempt to recruit him to the Heat. Donovan Mitchell has been frequently linked to the Miami Heat plenty of times over the offseason, and it is clear that they are one of the teams that are trying the hardest to acquire him. A recent update suggested that the Miami Heat are trying to find a way to get multiple picks to send out for Donovan Mitchell or Kevin Durant.
“I have been told from multiple people that Miami is trying to go find multiple picks to either send to Utah for Donovan (Mitchell) or to send to Brooklyn for Kevin Durant.”
It remains to be seen if Donovan Mitchell will in fact get traded to the Miami Heat in the future. He would certainly help them a lot from an offensive standpoint, as consistent scoring outside of Jimmy Butler was a concern for the team during these last playoffs.
Hopefully, we see Donovan Mitchell competing for a championship next season. He is a star that has shown he can be the No. 1 option on a consistent playoff team, and we’ll have to wait to see if the Utah Jazz end up trading him to a place where he has a real chance of winning a title.
