LeBron James Reflects On His Epic 2012 Game 6 vs. Celtics: “When It Happens, You Have No Idea What The F**k Is Going On. You Just Trying S**t That You Never Even Tried Before, Like Silly S**t.”

LeBron James has had many incredible games during his successful 19-year NBA career. The King made an instant impact as soon as he landed in the association with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003, making it clear that he was ready to rule the league after a couple of years.

It took him a while to become the man of the league, but once he took that title, everybody feared him. His stint with the Miami Heat had ups and downs, as they lost their first and last Finals, respectively, but also had incredible runs to win in their second and third trip to the big series.

It was during his quest for that elusive first title that LeBron had one of his most epic games, leading the Miami Heat to a win in Boston while they were down 3-2 against the Celtics, the team that ruined James’ chances to win championships in prior years.

During the most recent episode of The Shop, James talked about that memorable Game 6 and how he felt during those 48 minutes (17:13):

“I was about to call that being in the zone. You wish you can tap into that s**t more often. When it happens, you have no idea what the f**k is going on. You just trying s**t that you never even tried before, like silly s**t,” LeBron said, via Sportskeeda.

“That game I had in Boston, Game 6, down 3-2, it got to a point where I was just out there trying s**t. One leg, off the wrong foot, bump fades off my right shoulder. I’m not even a right-shoulder bump-fade guy.”

James admitted that he felt things were going in his favor after a flawless start and after that it was just an easy job for him.

“I mean, I started a game, like, eight for eight. And every time I was shooting, it just felt so perfect, and it was barely touching the net like, going straight through, like a bird just goes straight through the water–phew!”

LeBron finished that match with 45 points and 15 rebounds in a 98-79 win for his Heat. James knew he had to go off to lead his team to the next game, and that’s exactly what he did.

That game is still remembered to this day. The way he played, and how aggressive he was, he didn’t care about the Celtics or the position his team was in. LeBron balled that night and forced a Game 7 where the Heat would finish the job to go to the Finals. That’s definitely one of the best games in Bron’s career and it’s not a surprise that he has the best memories from that June 2012 night.
