As one of the most talented and accomplished players in the game, Kevin Durant’s trade request has sent the entire league into a tailspin.
Of course, the price for Durant is ridiculously high, and it’s why he remains on the Nets roster weeks into the start of the NBA’s free agency period.
After signing Deandre Ayton to an extension, the Suns have likely disqualified themselves from the Durant sweepstakes, but many teams are angling to make a move for the former MVP.
Meanwhile, in Portland, a Durant sitting has sparked new rumors that the Trail Blazers might be in the running for the veteran swingman after all.

This recent development has sparked new hope in Rip City. With a few notable additions, the Trail Blazers were having a pretty solid summer, but landing a player like Kevin Durant would make it a historic offseason for the franchise.
Ultimately, nobody knows how the situation will end. On one hand, Durant’s status as an all-time great means that the Nets will be asking for a premium package, and it’s unknown which players on Portland’s roster (if any) they would value as a trade target.
Nevertheless, Blazers fans have not given up hope, and neither has Damian Lillard, who posted a photo edit to Instagram before the start of free agency.
NBA teams are getting ready for the possibility of Durant being available in trade talks, and the Portland Trail Blazers are one of them. Well, the recruitment process has already started with Damian Lillard giving fans a glimpse of what could be a terrific duo of himself and Kevin Durant.
The former Rookie of the Year took to Instagram to share an edit of himself with Kevin Durant on red Portland Trail Blazers jerseys.
Nobody knows why KD is in Oregon and nobody has a clue how long he will be staying. For now, the Blazers should still be considered a longshot to trade for Durant, but clearly, the door is not yet closed on that possibility.
With the Suns out of the picture, and Miami needing a lot of help to pull off a potential deal, Durant’s fate is completely up in the air and there’s a good chance he ends up somewhere completely unexpected.
