Kevin Durant once again is the man of the hour in the NBA. After a shocking transfer request submitted on Thursday, the veteran player has been the talk of the town since we’ve never seen a star of this caliber ask for a trade in 75 years of the association. Following Kyrie Irving’s decision to pick up his option for the 2022/23 NBA season, Durant decided that his time with the Nets is over and now wants to find a new team.
Many franchises have contacted Brooklyn to discuss KD’s availability, but so far, nothing is official.; they The Nets keep looking for the best trade partner, even though Durant has reportedly expressed his desire to play with the Phoenix Suns or Miami Heat next season.
Meanwhile, the player is making headlines with his antics on social media, firing shots at those who doubt him and try to bring him down. Earlier today, the Brooklyn Nets superstar took to Twitter to send a message, apparently telling people that he was serious about his commitment to the Nets, and whoever doesn’t know that should ask.

“The ones who were locked in that gym with me know what it is, they know what I’m about. If u haven’t been in there with me, ask around,” Durant tweeted.
These words stirred the pot around the league, and many fans had something to say about this. One reporter also chimed in on this, asking Durant to clarify his comments since his words didn’t really explain anything. Robin Lundberg of Sports Illustrated had this to say:
This is vague and doesn’t address anything directly. We all know you are an awesome basketball player. https://t.co/D9XHexUFYF

Durant was curious about this and asked him what he needed to address. Lundberg took his chance and asked several questions, but he didn’t get an answer from KD, who simply mocked him and went about his day.
Do you really want a trade from the Nets? If so, why?
Was Kyrie a dealbreaker for you?
If you do want a trade, do you expect to pick your destination?
Thanks!

Robin still didn’t back down and had a fun response to the 2x Finals MVP.
Keep dreaming robin lmao

Okie doke. Not sure why you asked what I wanted addressed then. But I’ll now print out this twitter interaction and hang it on my wall. And dream of someone bringing a championship to the Nets.

Durant isn’t talking right now, and it seems like we’ll have to wait until he finds a new team to learn about all this process and why he decided to demand a trade away from Barclays Center. We’re still waiting for the Nets to pick an offer, which could take more time than expected.
