What is being a good leader in the NBA? Of course, we all know that a team having a great leader is important to its success in the league. But how exactly do we measure something like that? If you ask this question to someone, they will probably have a unique answer as per their opinion.

Despite that, a few players like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, etc. are considered some of the best leaders in the current league. One thing that all of them have in common is an NBA Championship on their resume.

This begs the question, is Kevin Durant a good leader? Well, if we look at his resume and importance to any team that he has played for, then the answer is a 100% yes. Recently, Durant engaged in a conversation about the same with a bunch of fans on Twitter. It led to a good thread, but at the end of the day, KD gave a cryptic answer when asked about his leadership skills.

U see it. Leadership is so coded for certain guys https://t.co/XSPWYrqYpc

Good question. I think I need to get mic’d up and get into character so I can shift the narrative https://t.co/btEVfT4reA

So would you consider yourself a leader?? https://t.co/dPgTBkysky

I’m an employee and one of the guys on the team. Some moments I’m out in front, some moments I’m not. The main message comes from the coach imo https://t.co/EqxQYrkhQq

Johnrivers131: U see it. Leadership is so coded for certain guys.

Kevin Durant: Yea it’s has a different definition for every player.

Kawhileanordst1: Hearing leadership bring brought up in debates is so annoying cos how do you even measure that.

Kevin Durant: Good question. I think I need to get mic’d up and get into character so I can shift the narrative.

Kevin Durant: I’m an employee and one of the guys on the team. Some moments I’m out in front, some moments I’m not. The main message comes from the coach imo.

In recent times, Kevin Durant has been quite active in talking to his fans on Twitter. The conversation wouldn’t even have ignited if a fan didn’t question KD’s playmaking skills.

The same fan also doubted Durant’s ability to play well when being double-teamed. The Brooklyn Nets superstar gave answers to the fan’s questions in a great way.

All things considered, it is great to see one of the best players of our generation engage so actively with fans on social media, for whatever reason.
