Charles Barkley Wants The Mavericks To Reach The Finals Because Warriors Fans Are Annoying: “I’m Rooting Against These Warriors Fans Because They’re Obnoxious And They’re A Pain In The A**”

Charles Barkley is someone who has tended to root against the Golden State Warriors in recent times. Barkley has in the past picked teams like the Damian Lillard-led Portland Trail Blazers to upset the Warriors but things haven’t quite panned out as Barkley would have hoped.

This post-season he has taken his anti-Warriors agenda to another level altogether. Whether it be chanting “Let’s Go Mavs. Let’s Go Mavs” in front of the Warriors fans or claiming that he doesn’t like the city of San Francisco, Barkley has turned into quite the heel for the fanbase. In the lead-up to Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks, Barkley took another shot at the Warriors fans as he called them obnoxious.

"I'm pulling for the Mavs cuz I'm rooting against these Warriors fans because they're obnoxious and they're a pain in the ass."

“I just cannot pick with the Warriors because I hate their fans. Their fans are obnoxious … I actually like the players on the team and the coach, but I hate their fans. I’m pulling for the Mavs.

When asked why he thought the Mavs could win, Barkley hilariously responded “I’m just going divine intervention. I just want to see these people suffer, I want to see these losers suck.”

“I’m pulling for the Mavs cuz I’m rooting against these Warriors fans because they’re obnoxious and they’re a pain in the ass.”

It is safe to say that Barkley wasn’t exactly the most popular man among Warriors nation and these comments will just add more fuel to the fire. The fans around the area understandably booed Chuck for his comments and he’d be hoping they have some reasons to boo the team on the court.

It does seem unlikely, however, as the Warriors are firm favorites to win this series and as Chuck said, some divine intervention is probably needed if the Mavericks are to upset them and make it to the NBA Finals. It is worth keeping in mind, however, that no one picked the Mavs to upset the Suns either, so perhaps another miracle could happen.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely.
