The Memphis Grizzlies and the Minnesota Timberwolves series has been quite entertaining thus far. Both teams are solid young squads, and both teams love their trash talk.

Karl-Anthony Towns has a hilarious bit of trash-talking backfire on him after the result of Game 3. At the time the Minnesota Timberwolves had a huge lead, and Towns was fairly confident about them winning at home. Obviously, the win didn’t happen, as the Memphis Grizzlies completed 2 separate 20-point comebacks.

“Yeah, we in Minnesota now. Like I said to the media, we gotta come back to our house now. I have only seen them in their house.”

Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane has recently responded to Karl-Anthony Towns’ words. He claimed that the Memphis Grizzlies were going to “walk in” and “take over” the Minnesota home court.

I love it. We gonna come into Minnesota, we gonna walk in your trap and take over your trap… We in Minnesota now.

There is no doubt that the result of Game 3 was stunning. The Memphis Grizzlies showed incredible resolve to be able to win that away game, and it’s obvious that they never ended up giving up on the game. Ja Morant stated that he knew what the team was “capable of” and joked that there were probably “a lot of people drinking” after the Timberwolves’ loss.

“I’m disrespectful just like they’re disrespectful. That’s why you see I threw that ball in the air. I asked for the ball. I know what we’re capable of.

“Like I said this morning, that was our goal. Come in and win games on the road and have their fans go home mad. There’s probably a lot of people drinking tonight with that L. I’ve seen a video too. Y’all see it later though.”

There is no doubt that this series is entertaining, and it would be even more entertaining if it went the full 7 games. There’s no question that there’s a possibility that happens, especially if the Minnesota Timberwolves win Game 4.

Perhaps we’ll see the Timberwolves bounce back next game. They have the talent on the roster to make things competitive against the Grizzlies, but they’ll need to be at their very best to win the series.
