Patrick Beverley made a lot of headlines earlier this week when he effusively celebrated the Minnesota Timberwolves beating the Los Angeles Clippers in the first game of the Western Conference play-in tournament.
They secured their spot in the 2022 NBA playoffs, but for Bev and the T-Wolves meant more than that. They had a big celebration that caught the attention of many people around the league. The Inside the NBA crew roasted them for the celebration, while players like LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma couldn’t help but laugh at them, mocking them for making a huge deal out of that game.
On the other hand, people close to the organization celebrated the victory, as only they know how hard it was to achieve this, against a dangerous like the Clippers after surprising everybody in the regular season.
Patrick Beverley’s girlfriend jumped on that train, posting a series of pictures with the player, his jersey, and a couple more celebrating the big win.
“Congrats @patbev21 2️⃣2️⃣❤️ ,” she captioned the post with.
Beverley had a blast after beating his old team. He trash-talked them during the entire game and once the match was over, the guard took to social media to send a big message to the Clippers. He was fined for his actions and decided to create a Venmo account to get money from fans to pay this fine.
It seems like the Timberwolves can’t be bothered right now. They are inspired, have three players that can take over a game whenever the team needs them, and a guy like Beverley that brings that energy every single match.
Bev’s got a good girl, somebody who has his back no matter what and will celebrate his wins. This is a good thing, especially knowing how difficult the playoffs are. Minnesota will face the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the postseason, hoping to shock Ja Morant and co.
