If someone says that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in the world at this moment, it would be hard for anyone to dispute, unless they’re Stephen A. Smith. Even though the Greek Freak is just 27, he has already won just about everything there is to win. His list of achievements saw him already inducted into the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team, and he could now break another record this season.
The MVP in back-to-back seasons in 2018-19 and 2019-20, Giannis was obviously a unanimous selection to the All-NBA First Team. He had a case to win the award again last season, but even though that went to Nikola Jokic, Giannis still was a unanimous lock for the First Team. This put him in elite company with Michael Jordan, LeBron James and James Harden.
If Giannis is a unanimous All-NBA First Team selection this season, he would be the first to do it FOUR years in a row since at least 1966-67.

Antetokounmpo is elite on both ends of the floor and hasn’t missed a beat or slowed down despite winning his first NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks last season. Giannis was Finals MVP but is making a strong case to win his 3rd regular-season MVP award.
Even if that goes to Joel Embiid, who seems to be the current frontrunner, there is no disputing that Giannis will once again be part of the All-NBA First Team. The only thing standing between him and this new record is if some of the voters think there are 2 forwards better than him in the NBA.
That is very unlikely considering that he is averaging 29.4 points to go along with 11.6 rebounds and a career-high 6.0 assists per game. Giannis has always been a unanimous selection to the All-NBA First Team all three times that he has been chosen, so it seems just like a matter of time before this record also belongs to him.
