Frustrations among the Los Angeles Lakers fan base are at an all-time high following their latest defeat. Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the New Orleans Pelicans, a team that they should have been able to defeat without any problems. Fans are clearly unhappy with the way the Lakers are playing this season. But one fan decided to take things too far last night, heckling players sitting on the bench.

During the game against the Pelicans, one fan sitting close to the bench was audibly heckling players throughout the game. This heckling reached the ears of Trevor Ariza and Russell Westbrook, who decided to give the fan a piece of their minds for trying to be disrespectful toward them.

Ariza: “I don’t give a f*ck what you are! You a b*tch! How about that?”

Russ: “Go home!”

Clearly, Westbrook and Ariza were not going to let a fan speak to them that way, especially with a whole arena watching. The duo was not the only group of Lakers players to respond to heckling fans. LeBron James also shut down a heckler by telling him he knows nothing about basketball.

Fans were just as prominent in headlines about the Lakers last night as the players. One fan even got arrested by the arena’s security for yelling and heckling the fans. Clearly, fans got carried away last night, as the Lakers put up yet another disappointing performance. But no basketball performance can justify the behavior of these fans.

Lakers fans did air their frustrations last night on social media. Even Jeanie Buss, the owner of the Lakers walked out of the game. Several Lakers players were booed, including Russell Westbrook. However, Westbrook did not seem too upset about the situation, saying he wouldn’t take it home with him. Regardless of how Russ feels, fans of the Lakers will demand that things improve soon.
