LeBron James On Stephen Curry: “This Guy Is From A Different Planet. He Literally Has An Automatic Sniper Connected To His Arm.”

Stephen Curry is widely regarded as the best shooter to play the game of basketball. He is also a box-office attraction often scoring from ridiculous range, and having insane stretches where he is unstoppable.

During the recent All-Star game, Stephen Curry scored 50 points while winning the All-Star MVP award. Former NBA Finals opponent LeBron James claimed that Stephen Curry is “from a different planet” while adding that everyone thinks “it’s going in every time” when he shoots. Marcus Thompson of The Athletic relayed the news.

“This guy is from a different planet,” LeBron said. “He literally has an automatic sniper connected to his arm. When he lets it go, not only himself, but everybody on the floor, in the stands, on TV, on your phones, whatever you’re watching it on, you think it’s going in every time.”

It was easily Curry’s greatest All-Star performance. For the accolade hawks in these times of resumé comparison, Curry checked off another box by winning All-Star MVP. It carries extra significance as this is the first year it was named after the late Kobe Bryant, unofficially the modern players’ favorite G.O.A.T. His detractors will have one less area for criticism. Even Curry acknowledged he wanted this notch on his belt.

But the tangible parts of Curry’s resume won’t do his career justice. His accomplishments are undoubtedly stellar. But where he really belongs, what makes him elite even among the cast of giants on hand in Cleveland, can really only be felt.

There is no question that Stephen Curry can heat up at a moment’s notice, and that his precision from the range is downright scary for opponents. He is an all-time great, and the accolades support that, as he is one of the only players in history with multiple championships, MVPs, and scoring titles. He is also a player who is able to awe fans, and that happened recently when fans realized Steph Curry turned around on his own shot when the ball was still high in the air during the All-Star game.

The Golden State Warriors are contending for a championship this year, and it will be interesting to see if Stephen Curry can add that 4th championship to his resume. If he does, there’ll be some interesting discussions in the future about where he should be positioned in the all-time rankings of legends in the NBA.
