Arguably the greatest highlight of LeBron James’ incredible career came when he was able to deliver a championship to the city of Cleveland. James, who is an Ohio native, ended the many decades of hurt the city’s sports franchises had dealt with by leading the Cavaliers to the title in 2016. And after the deed was done, James provided an equally amazing quote, famously proclaiming that the championship was for Cleveland.

Well, the Kid from Akron was back in Cleveland for the All-Star Game and he enjoyed another stellar moment towards the end of the game. Thanks to the format of the game itself, both teams race to get to a target score, which was 163 in the case of last night’s game, and James hit a brilliant turnaround jumper to secure the score and the win for his team. The King took to Instagram after, dedicating the shot to the city he was drafted in once again.

“CLEVELAND!!!!!!! This is for you. AGAIN . What a ending to a beautiful weekend and night!!! #AllStar2022⭐️ #ThekidfromAKRON “

Even though James has been far from a one-team superstar in his career, his love for Cleveland and his roots in Ohio have remained strong. During All-Star Weekend, LeBron took the time out to recreate an iconic picture with his high school teammates and coach, the King is most definitely still very attached to where he comes from.

LeBron recorded 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the All-Star Game as the team he had picked ended up winning again. It was poetic that James hit the game-winner as well and it was even more impressive considering that the final quarter saw some legitimate defense being played. And this may not even have to be the last time Cleveland sees LeBron bury a game-winner, the King hasn’t ruled out a potential return before he retires just yet.
