Adrian Wojnarowski Drops Huge Update On James Harden Situation: “He Has Repeatedly Told Management, Ownership, Those In The Organization That He Is Committed To Being A Net.”

New York Post

James Harden’s future with the Nets has taken over the headlines in recent days. Amid a troubling campaign for Harden and his squad, the idea that he might be open to another change of scenery is becoming more believable by the day.

Recently, the Philadelphia Inquirer even reported that Harden has some level of interest in teaming up with Joel Embiid.

“Joel Embiid is the alpha dog for the Sixers, commanding the lion’s share of shots and serving as the focal point of the franchise, a dynamic that could make some ball-dominant players pursue an opportunity elsewhere. But sources said Harden would welcome playing with Embiid if he became a Sixer. The guard had a lot of individual success playing for Morey as a Rocket. Sources say Harden believes he could have similar success playing alongside Embiid.”

But on Wednesday, the Harden story took a completely new turn when ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski seemingly downplayed all of the rumors about his potential departure from the Nets.

“James Harden has repeatedly told management, ownership, those in the organization that he is committed to being a Net. That he wants to win a championship there. And more than that the Big 3 in Brooklyn, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving what they say publicly they also say privately which is when they’re together, they believe they’re unstoppable.”

Since Harden’s arrival, the Nets have never really gotten the chance to test their full strength. In 2021, injuries wrecked the roster and they were bounced early in the postseason.

Now, after months of controversy, Kyrie Irving is reduced to being a part-time player until New York changes its mandates. Through it all, Harden has been having to carry the load and answer for all that is happening behind the scenes.

Still, according to Woj, his desire to win a title with the Nets has not changed and he remains as committed as ever.

The 9x All-Star, who turned 32 in August, might not be going anywhere after all.
