In their second season of the Big 3 experiment, the situation is starting to get ugly for the Brooklyn Nets. Despite an acceptable win-loss record, there are some deep concerns about the state of the team and, now, the word on the street is that James Harden isn’t exactly having the time of his life.

As reported by Bleacher Report earlier this month, James Harden would be open to a change of scenery for a multitude of reasons, ranging from the dramatics of Kyrie Irving’s part-time status to the realities of his new living situation in New York City.

Apparently, Harden also has an issue with some tactics implemented by head coach Steve Nash.

“James isn’t going to hold back,” said a person familiar with Harden. “He’s gonna tell you where he stands.”

Harden has been vocal to Nets figures and close contacts alike about his frustrations regarding Kyrie Irving’s part-time playing status. A recent injury to Kevin Durant has exacerbated the issue, leaving Harden to shoulder the majority of the offensive burden during Brooklyn home games.

Nets coach Steve Nash’s fluid rotations have also disappointed Harden, sources told B/R. Nash has favored hot-hand closing lineups, rather than a fixed crunch-time unit.

Harden, 32, might be finding out for himself what it means to say that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

After 9 years of prosperity in Houston, a city he clearly enjoyed living in, Harden forced a trade to Brooklyn, believing it to be his ticket to the Finals. Instead, he has faced chaotic conditions upon his arrival.

This summer, the 9x All-Star will have the chance to set things right and diverge on a new path — wherever it may be. Until then, speculation and drama will continue to hover over him and his current team.
