In A 32-Month Span, Michael Jordan Won 3 NBA Championships, 2 MVPs, 3 Finals MVPs, 3 Scoring Titles, While Missing Zero Games

There is no doubt that Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time. The things that MJ was able to accomplish across the span of his legendary career are truly mind-boggling. No one could stop Jordan if he put his mind to something. And Jordan always put his mind to one thing; ultimate success.

There have always been questions about which one of Jordan’s runs was better; 1990-1993 or 1995-1998. Both runs included legendary three-peats from Jordan and the Bulls, where MJ was the catalyst and helped his team win the NBA championship each year.

But perhaps this statistic will show just how dominant MJ was in his second run after coming out of retirement, and even put the debate to bed.

In the span of 32 months, between November of 1995 to June of 1998, Michael Jordan won 3 NBA championships, 2 MVPs, 3 Finals MVPs, 3 scoring titles, and had 3 All-Defensive first-team selections, and he did all this while missing 0 games. This means that Jordan played 82 games for three consecutive seasons during his final run.

Many fans consider Jordan’s 1995-96 season his best ever and the most perfect season, where he won the MVP, scoring title, NBA championship, and Finals MVP, and made the All-Defensive first team, all while he helped the Chicago Bulls set a record for the best regular season of 72-10, which lasted 20 years.

But Jordan’s excellence was on display throughout the course of his career. He is the only player to win the MVP, NBA championship, scoring title, Finals MVP, and make the All-Defensive first team in the same season. And he did this four times across his legendary career, and twice between 1996 to 1998.

On top of that, MJ holds the record for the longest streak of not losing 3 games in a row with 626 games, almost twice as much as Stephen Curry who is right behind him. Jordan’s numbers are truly astronomical. But the scary part is, they do not even come close to showcasing how good he was during the span of his career.
