A Teacher Used A Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James Debate Graphic From Fadeaway World In Class: “An Entire Hall Of Fame Still Separates LeBron James And Michael Jordan”

The GOAT debate involving Michael Jordan and LeBron James is still a hot topic around the NBA. These two are considered the greatest players of all time, and whenever they’ve mentioned in the same sentence, you know a lot of arguments will happen.

Social media is a big field to see these arguments every day, as well as TV and podcasts. Everybody wants to give their opinion on this never-ending debate, which has transcended the NBA community. In recent hours, we learned that even some teachers are bringing this debate up in their classes.

One NBA fan recently shared a picture of a classroom where a teacher was discussing the GOAT debate, pitting LeBron James and Michael Jordan against each other and explaining why one is better than the other. To make things more interesting, they used a graphic from Fadeaway World.

The pic is from a 2020 article explaining how far LeBron James is still from Michael Jordan in the wake of his bubble championship. Bron added his 4th title in Orlando after the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Miami Heat in six games, adding one championship and Finals MVP to his impressive resume.

Still, as Eddie Bittar wrote two years ago, Jordan’s career is still greater than James’. Even though Bron has surpassed him in many stats, MJ has a big advantage when it comes to accolades.

Jordan has 2 more Slam Dunk titles than James, 9 more scoring titles, 4 more All-Defensive First-Team appearances, 1 DPOY award, and 1 more regular-season MVP on top of 2 more championships and 2 Finals MVP awards.

It’s crazy that the GOAT debate is being discussed outside NBA spaces, on social media, or on TV. It’s unclear what was the purpose of this class and what the teacher tried to explain with the graphic, but it shows how huge this discussion has become for a couple of years now.

It’ll be hard to see people end the discussion of who is the best player between James and Jordan. They’ve done so much for the game, becoming the two greatest players of all time, so it’s easy to see why people try to push the narrative favoring one of them. LeBron is still playing, and he’s trying to add more accolades to his resume.

If he can add a couple of championships and Finals MVP, then it would be hard to dismiss him as the undisputed GOAT. However, until that happens, Jordan prevails over the King.
