NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has earned more fame in the last couple of days as the league’s front office continues to investigate Ja Morant’s second gun incident.
Silver has made it clear the league won’t make any announcement on Ja until after the 2023 NBA Finals are done, which adds more fuel to the speculation. Meanwhile, Silver is even joking about the situation, as he did on the Dan Patrick Show earlier today.
“I’m gonna get Sandler to do a PSA for the NBA on an anti-carrying program,” Patrick joked.
“It could have a double meaning, by the way,” Silver replied.

As the interview was coming to an end, Patrick asked Silver about the player (in the NBA or not) who carried the ball the most, and he named Adam Sandler. Patrick took this chance to mess with the actor and comedian, and Silver did the same, but picking a different meaning.
Ja Morant has been in everybody’s mouth since he flashed another gun on Instagram Live. He made headlines for his messages on social media, as well as his activities there, as he stopped deleting the friend that recorded him holding the gun.
The Memphis Grizzlies suspended him from all team activities and now the NBA has the last word on this situation.

Morant’s camp now claims that the gun used in the car was a toy, which raised many eyebrows around the league. This isn’t a good excuse at all, and even if it was real, the NBA will continue with the process and will suspend Morant regardless.
Mr. Silver has admitted that he doesn’t like all the things being said about Morant and the league, but that won’t change his decision on this matter. They have gone through a lot of information, and the decision on this will be revealed soon.
The Memphis Grizzlies are considered the team of the future by many, but if their superstar keeps acting this way, they won’t go anywhere.
