Alex Caruso had the chance to spend a lot of time with LeBron James, even winning a championship with the NBA’s all-time scoring leader. The now Chicago Bulls guard recently discussed some topics about LeBron, including one of the biggest myths about the King.

During a recent conversation on the Pat McAfee Show, Caruso was asked if LeBron James reads as many books as he makes it seen in front of reporters.

“Does LeBron read those books?” the show’s host asked. Caruso responded by saying, “What books?”

This has become a big part of LeBron James’ legend, as the King has been spotted ‘reading’ books, but he’s always reading the first pages. People noticed the patterns in the pictures and videos and started getting suspicious about LeBron’s reading habits.

Over the years, he was pictured reading a series of books, but Bron always was on the first pages. He was caught lying about some of these books by fans, and Richard Jefferson even said that James only colors them

‘LeCap’ has taken a new meaning when it comes to books, and Caruso knows that very well.

The Reason Why LeBron James Reads A Book Before Playoff Games

Still, LeBron takes his reading sessions very seriously, and back in 2012, he revealed why he reads books before playoff games

“I was reading to not only do something different, but to also take my mind off the game. Because during the postseason, everything is about the games. Everything is about the matchup and the team that you’re playing and the city that you’re in. I needed some moments where I could just get a different perspective — escape.”

This is something that will hunt LeBron for many years, just like the jokes about his hairline. This postseason, James hasn’t been seen with a book in his hands. The Lakers have been doing just fine without that ritual, as they’re 1-0 up against the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the playoffs.
