Dwyane Wade is one of the greatest players to have ever played in the NBA, and it was only fitting that he'd be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. In his storied career, Wade won three NBA championships and a Finals MVP while leading the league in scoring once. He was also a 13-time All-Star and is the greatest player in Miami Heat history. 

Wade is set to be inducted in the ceremony next month and he chose Allen Iverson to be his presenter on that special day. AI has now reacted to the big news and he is honored to be the one chosen.

It really does mean a lot when someone chooses you to present them on such a big occasion in their life. Wade had revealed last year that Iverson was one of the three players he modeled his game after, with the other two being Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. One of the reasons he wore the number 3 was also because that was AI's number.

Getting into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot, just like Iverson did back in 2016, would have meant a lot to Wade as well. As for who Iverson had chosen to present him, he went with Larry Brown, Julius Erving, and John Thompson.

When the news broke that he would get in on the first ballot, Wade was understandably thrilled. He thanked the voters for this great honor and stated it felt as if he was a kid in a candy store.

Heat president Pat Riley stated the first ballot entry was earned and deserved and you can't really argue with that. His former teammate and good friend LeBron James also congratulated him on it.

There is a very good chance that Wade will be one of the presenters when it is LeBron's turn to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The way James is going, though, Wade will have to wait for quite some time for that honor.
