Andrew Wiggins After 35 Point Performance Against The Timberwolves: “I’m Going To Keep It Rolling. I’m Going To Stay Aggressive.”

Andrew Wiggins has widely been viewed as a player that hasn’t met the expectations of being the No. 1 pick. The first pick in any given draft is generally expected to become a superstar, and it’s safe to say that Andrew Wiggins hasn’t lived up to those expectations.

With that being said, he delivered a star-like performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves, his former team. Wiggins put up 35 points, along with two monster dunks on his former teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns.

Andrew Wiggins has immense physical gifts, and when he’s driving to the rim aggressively, he is a very effective player. While he is definitely not viewed as a player that’s a star, he is still a fairly good scorer and defender, earning the nickname “Two-Way Wiggs” from the Golden State Warriors fans.

While some of the criticism towards Andrew Wiggins stems from him being passive at times on the offensive end, Wiggins has recently claimed that he plans to “stay aggressive” throughout the season. Hopefully, those words become a reality, and the Warriors will need Wiggins to be aggressive in order to become the best version of themselves prior to Klay Thompson’s return.

Coach Steve Kerr has previously claimed that Andrew Wiggins has been a “good fit” with the Golden State Warriors, and during the 2020-21 season, Wiggins had the most efficient season of his career. Moving to Golden State has done him some good, and perhaps we’ll continue to see him be efficient and play good defense.

The Golden State Warriors will be contenders once James Wiseman and Klay Thompson return, and perhaps we will see them win the championship once again. They’ve missed the playoffs for two years in a row, but it looks like they could be back in the mix for the postseason. Hopefully, their great play continues, and their 10-1 start has been amazing to watch.
