2x All-Star Victor Oladipo is on his third team in two years — and there’s a good chance he’ll join his fourth at some point this summer.
Despite some positive moments as a member of the Miami Heat, Vic isn’t likely to stick around, according to Heavy’s Sean Deveney.
Instead, he’ll have to earn his value back on a minimum deal with a low-profile team.
“He is still looking at a minimum, make-good contract next year…a team like Sacramento or the Knicks or the Blazers. It’s not going to be Miami, that has been pretty clear.”

Oladipo, 29, has only played a total of 12 games for the Heat. In those games, he averaged roughly 12.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game on 44% shooting.
It has not been an easy road for the Maryland native, but he has shown flashes of his All-Star form recently, including in Game 5 against Atlanta.
“We all human, we all get to that point. If you haven’t, you will at some point in your life,” Oladipo said, via Paolo Songco of Clutch Points. “I’ve been fighting even before I was born. I’ve been fighting… I was always counted out. When God gave me this obstacle, I could’ve done two things. I could’ve stopped, or I could have run right through it. And I’m still running through it. No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”
It remains to be seen how things will play out for Oladipo. After missing so many games with various injuries, teams will show an understandable level of hesitation to sign him to a long-term deal.
But if he can make his way to a roster on a minimum salary, and stay on the court when the season starts, he could go on to play a huge role.
Either way, he’s not going down without a fight and the guy has already shown he still has plenty left in the tank.
