Anthony Davis Goes Off On Lakers Defense After Spurs Loss: “We Didn’t Play Any Defense. Our Defense Was Sh*t Tonight.”

Anthony Davis wasn’t happy with the Los Angeles Lakers performance on Thursday night, when they lost against the San Antonio Spurs, losing their first game of the season against the Texan rival. The Brow had strong words for his team after the game was over, talking about the defense and how bad it was for everybody.

The intensity wasn’t there, the Spurs were making everything they shot and they had a great game, beating the NBA champions, 118-109 at the Staples Center. Davis was very critical of the team and the things he saw on the court, making it clear that can’t happen again if they want to remain competitive this season.

“We gotta be better with our defensive schemes coming out the gate. … We didn’t play any defense. Our defense was sh*t tonight,” AD said after the game was over.

This wasn’t a good performance for the Lakers and they hope to improve this. They are still one of the best teams in the West but they can’t afford to have these games if they want to defend their title. The good thing is that they have somebody like Davis to remind them what needs to be done to win another championship.

The Lakers return to action today, when they face the Chicago Bulls at Staples Center, trying to bounce back from this defeat.
