Anthony Davis Is Selling His Westlake Village Estate For $8 Million

3 Min Read

The Los Angeles Lakers took a major risk when they pursuit Anthony Davis last summer. Rumors and reports claimed Davis had the Lakers at the top of his list of destinations and that he wanted to play side by side with LeBron James. However, they could’ve just waited one year before trying to make a run at him.

Instead, they sent Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks to the New Orleans Pelicans to get him right away and put together a Championship run. Still, they haven’t forgotten about his soon-to-expire deal.

Thus, it must be a bit of a concern for the Lakers to see that Anthony Davis has currently listed his $8 million dollar mansion in Los Angeles up for sale with free agency looming around the corner.

Obviously, him selling his real estate doesn’t mean he’s about to leave the Lakers and recent reports claim exactly the opposite. Apparently, the Lakers have done just enough to sell him on the future of the franchise and he’s almost a lock to resign with them, as we previously reported.

“By any measure, this is the top priority of the summer given what the Lakers had to give up to get him. Most in league circles believe that work is largely done – that L.A. is where Davis wanted to be, LeBron James is the teammate he wanted to have, and that the Lakers have done enough to sell him on a future with the franchise,” according to Kyle Goon in the “Purple & Bold”.

So, whether if Davis is just going to rent or buy a new place and this has nothing to do with his future is yet to be seen, but it’s definitely a history worth following up closely.

Davis has thrived in his first season with the Lakers with averages of 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game and he’s one of the frontrunners for the Defensive Player of the Year award.
