Anthony Davis Responds On Having To Potentially Face Off Against Big Three Of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, And James Harden: “That Will Be A Pretty Good Team.”

2 Min Read

By all accounts, the Brooklyn Nets are trying their hardest to strike a deal for Rockets superstar James Harden. Despite whatever assets they’d have to sacrifice for such a trade, assembling a roster of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden isn’t something to take lightly.

Even with that being said, however, there are concerns about how a team with three alphas would even work, especially given the fact that they’re all used to having the ball in their own hands.

Amid these conversations, Anthony Davis chimed in with his thoughts in a recent appearance on Da Windy City podcast with Mark Carman.

“You’ve got a great coach over there, great minded guy who knows the game from a point guard position. If it happens it happens, if it doesn’t it doesn’t. I am trying to figure out what Anthony Davis is going to do. Once I figure that out we’ll start looking at teams and things like that but that will be a pretty good team though.”

Davis doesn’t seem to doubt that they could figure things out — and great players usually find a way. But he’s more worried about his own team than anything else, especially given the circumstances of the current offseason.

Whether the Nets get Harden or not, however, they will pose a threat for every team in the league so long as AD and Kyrie can stay healthy for the duration of the season. If they do get Harden, head coach Steve Nash and his staff should help make the transition a smooth and successful one.

Either way, the Lakers aren’t sweating just yet, and Davis clearly has other matters on his mind.
