There is no doubt that Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves has had an eventful offseason. He signed a four-year, $56 million max deal with the Lakers, got a signature shoe from Rigorer, and is currently competing with Team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. He has clearly put in a lot of work to grow as a player and is reaping the rewards of his effort. 

Recently, Austin Reaves opened up on all the happenings of this summer, noting that he believes they are “well-deserved”. He pointed out that he’s always taken “the hard path”, and that things are finally paying off.

“This has been a very amazing year for myself and my family. A lot of good things have happened, but I feel like it’s kind of well-deserved. I feel like my whole life I’ve worked for this. I’ve never taken shortcuts, it’s always been the hard path. And I feel like I’m finally getting rewarded for everything that I’ve put into it so far.”

There is no doubt that Austin Reaves has a promising future in the NBA, and he has developed quite nicely thus far. He has deserved every single good thing that happened to him this offseason The Los Angeles Lakers are already one of the best teams in the league, and if Reaves can grow into a star-level player, they might become the favorites to win the championship.

Austin Reaves had a fantastic run with the Los Angeles Lakers during the playoffs, averaging 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game. Hopefully, he can sustain that level of play for an entire season, and we’ll see what happens in the future.

There is no doubt that Austin Reaves’ play has earned him a lot of respect from his peers. In fact, Anthony Edwards previously called Reaves a “real hooper”, noting that he plays great every night.

“Austin plays great every night, there’s nothing new… He’s a hooper, man, there’s nothing surprising.”

It remains to be seen how well Austin Reaves will play for the rest of the FIBA World Cup. He has been making a huge impact with the team coming off the bench, and hopefully, he will continue playing well for his country going forward.
