The Golden State Warriors are having a magical 2021/22 NBA season, playing great basketball, demonstrating that their dynasty might not be over after all. The Dubs are making a lot of noise this season, raising eyebrows around the league with their good displays.

Not everybody is happy with the team’s current situation, especially those who suffered when they ruled the league. One of those is Austin Rivers, who is unhappy with the Warriors’ recent run.

After unsuccessfully going against the Dubs during his time with the Houston Rockets, Rivers doesn’t have good memories facing the Californians, making it clear on an Instagram Live rant, stating he doesn’t like that team at all.

Via NBC Sports:

Taking to Instagram live, Rivers expressed his displeasure with the Warriors’ success and scolded Dubs fans who had pushed for an Andrew Wiggins trade in the offseason but have since reversed course.

“Golden State looks very solid right now,” Rivers said. “I hate to see it. I don’t like it one bit. I’m tired of that f–king team… they got a good mix of young talent, good vets… A lot of you Warriors fans was off [Andrew] Wiggins when he first signed with the Warriors, keep it 100. Last year you all was talking about ‘trade him, this and that’ now everybody is talking all highly. Come on now.”

Now Rivers is a part of the Denver Nuggets, one of the teams expected to compete in the Western Conference. The point guard knows how hard it would be to get past these Warriors, so it’s easy to see why he’s expressing his frustration with the Dubs’ good run.

The Nuggets have Nikola Jokic as their biggest star, who is one of Stephen Curry’s big competitors for the 2022 NBA MVP award. Without Jamal Murray on the court, the Nuggets have struggled, with Jokic carrying the load for the team. Rivers knows his teammate is good, but the Warriors shouldn’t have issues beating the Nuggets in the playoffs. That’s why Rivers is voicing his concerns. He knows the inspired Warriors will be a major problem for the rest of the West.
