Prior to his last game in the NBA in 2016, Kobe Bryant received a huge gift from the Lakers organization after 20 years defending their colors. Kobe didn’t retire in the best moment of the team, but they made sure to show their appreciation for the Black Mamba, one of the greatest Lakers of all time. Kobe gave the franchise five titles and a lot of good memories full of joy and pride.

He decided to call it a career four years ago and his last game, at the Staples Center, was very special for him. It couldn’t start a better way since Jeanie Buss surprised him before the clash against the Utah Jazz, gifting him a special ring with a huge meaning. Buss surprised Kobe and his wife Vanessa, explaining that the ring was a gift for all the years he spent with the Lakers and all the good things he did for the franchise.

“This is for my family to thank you for all you’ve made for this franchise,” she said. “Five diamonds representing the championships in 20 smaller diamonds representing the 20 years with one team.”

He went off with 60 points in the last game of his career, playing as he did during his best days, leaving a good memory for every Lakers fan.

Kobe sadly passed away last January 26 but there isn’t a day when fans, friends, and family don’t remember him. He was a great player and a great man; his impact on this world won’t ever be forgotten.
