Boston Celtics’ Commentator Criticizes Jaylen Brown And Jayson Tatum: “They Need To Start Thinking About Winning Games And Not About Getting Numbers.”

The Boston Celtics aren’t having the best moment right now, losing seven of their last 10 games, losing their position as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Now the team is trying to get things back on track but the job seems to be very hard for them.

Nobody is happy with their current moment and one commentator attacked their two biggest figures for their performances this campaign. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are the dynamic duo of this team and even though they’re not one of the candidates to come out of the East this season, there are some expectations for them to meet. Mike Gorman, is really disappointed with this team and he recently went off on them for their lack of success.

During his weekly call on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich on Wednesday, Gorman talked about Brown and Tatum and how sad is to watch the Celtics right now, blasting the entire team.

“Unfortunately, last time I looked, basketball is a team game, it’s not tennis, it’s a team game,” Gorman said. “They are just playing like they met on the bus on the way over. It’s really sad to watch these guys right now.”

“This team needs to be more unselfish, and it needs to start at the top, and the top right now is Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and they need to respond. They can go have their weekend in Atlanta, they can go play [the All-Star Game]. But when they come back to business here in Boston, they’ve got to start thinking about winning games and not about getting numbers.”

This rant came after the Celtics lost to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday and Gorman’s words didn’t have any impact on the team, which lost again against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. Something needs to change here or this team won’t even make it to the playoffs. Danny Ainge recently claimed he doesn’t think they are good enough to win a championship and as things stand right now, they don’t seem to be good enough to make it to the postseason.
