Bradley Beal has been linked with a move away from Washington in recent months. It’s not a secret that the Wizards star is one of the most sought-after players in the league right now.

While everybody expects him to request a trade from Washington, the player has made it clear he’s not thinking about leaving and is set to compete with this team. So far, that decision is paying off since the Wizards are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference right now.

After the Russell Westbrook trade to Los Angeles, the Wizards landed a couple of interesting pieces that have taken them to the 6th position in the East. Recently, Bradley insisted that he’s not thinking about leaving his team since he’s not having big issues on the court or financially.

“There are situations where it can loom over your head like, ‘Oh, damn, what am I going to do, where am I going to go, who am I going to sign with?’,” Beal said via The Washington Post. “I don’t think I have that problem. I’m here. This is what I’m making. I’m making a lot of money, and I’m comfortable with doing that, and I could stop today and be good (financially).”

“I’m not sitting here and saying we’re going to hold up the Larry (O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy), but I want to be able to have those opportunities,” he pointed out. “I want to be able to see that that’s reachable.”

In the past couple of seasons, the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and even the Boston Celtics appeared as possible landing spots for Bradley. The shooting guard, however, wasn’t interested in any of that and has remained with the Wizards.

He wants to compete with his team and even though that will be hard to accomplish, Beal believes they can reach their goals. This campaign, they are showing a great game, which makes fan believe they can at least surpass what they did last season. Time will tell if Beal’s decisions are right, but he’s ready to live with it.
