Brandon Miller is expected to do great things in the NBA. The young rookie was picked as the second overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets. Miller could be one of the breakout stars from this draft class, and become a future star in the NBA. But Miller’s lack of knowledge about players has come into question recently.

In a recent video, Brandon Miller accidentally let slip that he didn’t know or recognize NBA players such as Khris Middleton, Jonas Valencuinas, and Isaiah Hartenstein, something NBA fans criticized him for. And now, one NBA reporter revealed that Miller told him a story of how he once met Jayson Tatum and didn’t know who he was.

Miller’s lack of knowledge surrounding NBA players is a little confusing. Most young NBA players entering the league try to be students of the game, watching as much of the sport as they can so that they can learn and add facets to their own game. So for Miller to not know these players is definitely a surprise.

Brandon Miller Could Become A Superstar In The NBA

Despite Miller’s comments, fans are excited about his stint in the NBA. Miller will be paired with another young star in Charlotte with LaMelo Ball. Ball has been in the NBA for three years now and has been a former All-Star despite being so young in his career. The duo could lead the Hornets to unprecedented playoff success.

Miller and the Hornets lost in the first game of the Summer League, something Miller commented on afterward, remarking that he didn’t like losing. For Miller and the Hornets, their focus will now be on the regular season, as he and LaMelo Ball look to establish their young partnership as one of the best.

Miller and the Hornets will have a tough Eastern Conference to try and overcome, especially since the franchise has not made the playoffs in quite some time. But with two young stars on their roster, there could be good things to come for the Hornets.
