1 Min Read

Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly agreed to a 5-year, $158 million extension after several months full of speculation regarding his future with the team. Ingram proved that he can be a great player in the league last season and now he’s getting paid.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports the deal, explaining that Ingram earned a much better contract than last year when he landed in New Orleans from the Los Angeles Lakers. The 23-year-old has become one of the best young players in the league after only one season in New Orleans and the Pels are hopeful to keep him on board for several years to come.

Ingram was a finalist for the Most Improved Player award due to his incredible performances with the young team and now he’s getting that bag.

Brandon averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 46.3% from the field last season. Ingram is ready to take his game to the next level alongside Zion Williamson in New Orleans. The future is bright for this kid and his team; he already earned the contract, now it’s time to deliver.
