Breaking: Tom Thibodeau Wins The Coach Of The Year Award

1 Min Read

Tom Thibodeau and the New York Knicks have had a spectacular season, where they’ve made the playoffs for the first time since the Carmelo Anthony era. While they didn’t end up making it out of the first round, this is still an incredible achievement for a franchise that used to be viewed as the league’s laughing stock a few years ago.

It seems as though Tom Thibodeau will be rewarded for his efforts in transforming the New York Knicks, and will end up getting the Coach of the Year award. There is no doubt that he deserves the honor, though other coaches such as Monty Williams of the Phoenix Suns had good cases.

The collection of young talent on the New York Knicks’ roster was maximized by coach Thibodeau, and he helped Julius Randle become an All-Star by playing him in a featured role as a playmaking power forward. The New York Knicks simply wouldn’t have gotten this far without coach Thibodeau, and people around NBA circles obviously realize that. Hopefully, coach Thibodeau is able to build on this year and bring the New York Knicks far in the playoffs next season.
