The sport of basketball undoubtedly has some of the most passionate fans around the globe. But there are times when fans tend to cross the line when watching the NBA.

NBA Hall of Famer turned analyst Charles Barkley believes the Americans, in particular, fit that description perfectly. On the other hand, Chuck revealed Canadians are great.

“I figured it out that Americans are the only a**holes in the world,” Barkley said. “Canadians are great. Most of the people I’ve met in my life are just a**holes. Who are a**holes, they are just American. And the Canadians, they are just so fun to be around. There’s no drama. They just want to drink some Molson and Labatts, which I love to drink. I love to drink and gamble. Two of my favorite things in the world. So the Canadian, they fit right in when it comes to the drinking part.”

Charles Barkley’s love for drinking and gambling is not new. The NBA legend has openly talked about his habits over the years.

Keeping that in mind, Barkley shared his love for Canadians, who apparently share his love for drinking freely.

Charles Barkley Went To Buy Drinks For The Dream Team And Missed Mike Tyson’s 20-Second Fight

Charles Barkley was part of the greatest basketball team ever assembled, the 1992 Dream Team.

Over the years, many members of the team have shared some great stories about their time in the 1992 Olympics. Unfortunately, Chuck’s story doesn’t end well for him. He once shared the story of when he went to buy drinks for the Dream Team and it resulted in missing Mike Tyson’s 20-second fight.

“I’m with Magic, Michael, Patrick Ewing, and they’re all like early in my career, I’m a young buck on the totem pole. They make me go get drinks, and I come back, and Tyson already knocked this motherf***er out. Are you f***ing serious right now? These motherf***ers are laughing at me, I’m walking around with two buckets of popcorn and some drinks. They’re just f***ing laughing at me.”

Considering Barkley was just 29 years old during the 1992 Olympics, he was on the receiving end of some friendly banter. Chuck must have regretted being the person to buy drinks that day.
