  • Chris Paul spent years competing against the Warriors before being traded to them this offseason
  • Paul was asked what his reaction would be if a time traveler told him years back that he’d be a Warrior
  • Paul hilariously stated there was no way he’d have believed that

Chris Paul being with the Golden State Warriors can still be a bit hard to believe, and the man himself certainly wouldn’t have ever thought this day would ever come. Paul was recently asked how he’d react if a time traveler told him during his time with the Clippers and Rockets that he’d be a Warrior one day, and he had a hilarious response.

“Hell naw, excuse my language,” Paul replied. Ain’t no way. There is no way”

Heck, if you’d told anyone even when last season ended that Paul would be with the Warriors in the 2023-24 campaign, no one would have believed it. Paul was one of the biggest rivals for the Warriors in the 2010s, and even the thought of him on their team was absurd.

Like so many others, Austin Reaves couldn’t believe this at first either. Reaves stated that when he heard Paul was traded to the Warriors, he thought it was ButtCrackSports spreading fake news.

Klay Thompson Spoke About The Warriors Acquiring Chris Paul

There is still a ton of skepticism surrounding this move, with many having concerns regarding Paul’s age and his fit with the Warriors. Paul is 38 years old now and the 12-time All-Star is coming off a sub-par 2022-23 season where he averaged 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game.

Warriors guard Klay Thompson explained, though, that Paul has elevated every franchise that he has played for. Thompson feels they are lucky to have him and called the veteran one of the best players ever. Klay also feels Paul will make life easier for him as a shooter, and he wants a competitor like him on the team.
