The Portland Trail Blazers are going to be competing in Orlando, but their path to the postseason is far from guaranteed.

Over the first eight games, the Blazers will have to win pretty much all of their game if they want to secure a spot in the playoffs. Even then, it’s likely they will have to play-in and beat Memphis in a series.

Still, the Blazers have the chance to get in, and you can expect them to go all-in on getting there. Unfortunately, if they do secure the 8th seed, the Lakers will be waiting for them with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and a slew of talented role players. What chance do the Blazers have against them?

Somehow, Lillard has enough confidence in his squad to believe they can actually pull it off.

When the season shut down, the Trail Blazers were in ninth place; if you move up to eighth, you could play the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round. You want that?

His comments were flamed by Twitter users, who blasted him for making such a bold claim.

Dame has never been shy about showing confidence in his squad. But the Blazers haven’t exactly been dominant this season.

They are currently eight-games under .500 and have been stricken by injury and inconsistency all season long. The good news is, Jusuf Nurkic and Zach Collins should be ready to go by the time the season resumes next month.
