Damian Lillard Shoutouts Bronny James For Saying He’s The Best Point Guard In The NBA

Bronny James, LeBron James’ elder son, recently picked his top-6 players aside from his father during a streaming session. He chose Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Damian Lillard in no particular order.

Thus, apparently, Damian Lillard is Bronny’s favorite point guard right now, which says a lot considering the freshman from Sierra Canyon plays the same position as Lillard.

That’s why Dame Dolla took it to his Twitter account to shoutout the elder son of the James household for his praise and recognition, which most definitely made his day once he found out:

Lillard was having a career year before the season was suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak. He was averaging a career-high 28.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 3.9 three-pointers, and 1.0 steals per game on 45/39/88 shooting.

However, his Portland Trail Blazers currently hold the 9th seed in the Western Conference, trailing the Memphis Grizzlies by 3.5 games and currently tied with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Blazers will have to beat those two teams plus the San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, and Phoenix Suns to make the playoffs. Sadly for them, they had the league’s easiest closing schedule before the league went into the hiatus and the Orlando bubble changed everything.

So, if Lillard wants to keep on climbing that ladder as one of the league’s elite hoopers and continue to make Bronny James and the rest of his fans proud, he’ll have to bring his A-game to Orlando and once again beat the odds to leave his Blazers to the playoffs, where they’d have to face LeBron James and the Lakers in the first-round.
