The Philadelphia 76ers had a 3-0 lead on the Toronto Raptors earlier in their first-round series. However, the Toronto Raptors have since cut the deficit by 2 games, and the series is now at 3 to 2 in the 76ers’ favor.

Going into Game 6, there’s definitely quite a bit of pressure on the Philadelphia 76ers to win. Going to a Game 7 is never optimal for a team that has held a lead throughout a series, as those contests are notably unpredictable and volatile. In a Game 7, there’s a possibility that the Toronto Raptors would win.

Danny Green has recently opened up on the mentality that is currently held by the Philadelphia 76ers going into Game 6. He said that the 76ers have “no choice” now and that they are going to “nut up or fold”.

We’ve got the pieces. We’ve done it 3 times already. We have two games to get one, but we’re taking it one game at a time. We want to get this one. We had four opportunities to get one. Thursday’s coming soon, in Toronto in their building. You got no choice now. You gonna nut up, or fold.

If the 76ers were to lose this series to the Toronto Raptors, they would be the first team to blow a 3-0 lead in NBA history. It is of paramount importance that they avoid doing so, not only for the negative connotation that would come with that but also to keep their playoff run alive. Notably, Doc Rivers is the only coach who has blown three separate 3-1 leads, and would be the first coach to blow a 3-0 lead.

With that being said, as Danny Green mentions, the Philadelphia 76ers could definitely beat the Toronto Raptors in Game 6. They have MVP candidate Joel Embiid leading them, and he is widely viewed as one of the top 5 players in the world. Hopefully, he shows his superstar status and leads the team to victory in Toronto.
