The series between the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors is currently tied at 2-2, and there’s no doubt that this has been an intense series thus far. It has been defined by physicality from both teams.

Point guard De’Aaron Fox notably suffered a fractured finger in the series, and his availability for Game 5 was initially in doubt. However, the point guard recently provided an update on his status, stating that he wants to play.

“There’s no if, ands or buts … I’m playing.”

It is clear that De’Aaron Fox is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win, including playing through injury. Though there may be a chance of the injury getting worse, the playoffs are definitely the right time for players to potentially play through more serious injuries if their bodies allow them to do so.

In the playoffs, De’Aaron Fox has averaged 31.5 PPG, 6.0 RPG, and 7.0 APG for the Sacramento Kings. There is no doubt that he has been stellar in the postseason, and hopefully, the fractured finger doesn’t affect his play too much for the rest of the first round.

Some Believe De’Aaron Fox Is The League’s Next Superstar

There is no doubt that De’Aaron Fox’s production in the playoffs has been insane, and he has impressed many with his performances. In fact, NBA analyst Brian Windhorst suggested that Fox may be the league’s next superstar.

“Teams have been setting their defense to try to stop this guy in the fourth quarter for months now. And they cannot do it because he is so fast and can stop so fast. De’Aaron Fox is a superstar in this league. Here he comes.”

It will be interesting to see if De’Aaron Fox will be able to keep up his production from this season next year. All signs point to that being a high possibility, and the fact that he has shown out in the playoffs against the reigning champions shows that he is not afraid of the moment.

Game 5 will be crucial for the Sacramento Kings, as the team will be playing on their home floor and will need this win to gain an edge in the series. De’Aaron Fox will surely do his best to lead them to a win, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
