The Chicago Bulls currently have the best record in the Eastern Conference. After a long time, the Bulls are looking like a team that can give their opponents a run for their money. The credit goes to the management for making some pretty great decisions in the offseason.

With Zach LaVine already fulfilling the role of the cornerstone player for the team, all the organization had to do was pair him up with excellent players. They did just that by acquiring the likes of Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic.

Building a super team is quite a complicated task. You have to make sure the players gel well with each other and there are no ego issues. Which was a huge concern for many when the team was formed.

So far, there have been no chemistry issues, if anything they are playing simply amazing. Alex Caruso and DeRozan addressed this point recently and explained why the Bulls are playing at an elite level.

We have no egos; we don’t get on that court feeling we have any sense of of entitlement,” DeRozan said. “We just try to play off each other.”

I wish they’d save them for the real MVPs of the team,” Caruso revealed upon getting MVP chants in a game. “Like, when Zach gets going or DeMar’s cooking someone. I’m never gonna deter that. I’m appreciative.”

As of now, the Bulls have a record of 4-0 in the league, which is their best record since the 1996-97 NBA season. They couldn’t have asked for a better start and it appears that the team is just scratching the surface of its true potential.

When you have three players that can handle the scoring department on any given night, it takes the pressure off other players. Additionally, Lonzo has been playing like a traditional point guard this season, handling the playmaking responsibilities with grace.

On top of that, Caruso’s contribution from the bench cannot be forgotten. Combining the aforementioned things, you get the winning formula. The only question that remains now is whether the Bulls can continue this great form throughout the season.
