The Phoenix Suns are going through an incredibly rough patch. After losing star Devin Booker to injury, the Suns have struggled mightily on the court. While it looks like Chris Paul might be ramping back up to the All-Star caliber point guard we know he can be, there is still a lot to be desired in terms of consistency.

The Suns have been mocked by fans and doubted by the media ever since their upset loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2022 Playoffs. After starting the season as the best team in the West, the Suns have tumbled down the conference to currently be 7th. However, Booker isn’t going to make excuses, quoting Kevin Durant while expressing that on Twitter.

“Nobody cares
Go to work”-@KDTrey5

Booker is definitely among the best guards in the league, but it seems the only thing left for him to do is overcome the championship hump. The West is so tightly packed that a winning streak could easily have the Suns back in the upper echelon, so Booker will be waiting for his return patiently.

Devin Booker’s Groin Injury

Booker suffered a groin injury during the Suns’ Christmas Day matchup with the Denver Nuggets, which was arguably one of the best games of the season as Damion Lee stepped up after Booker got injured. That game is just one of the Suns’ 7 losses in their last 8 games.

The Suns will hope to pick their pace up when they face the Heat as Booker ramps his return up. He was going to be re-evaluated 4 weeks after suffering the injury, which means he’s still a while away from returning. Hopefully, the Suns can keep their head above water over the course of January while Booker ramps up to keep their top-4 seed push alive.
