Towards the end of what was a highly competitive first-half, Draymond Green took it upon himself to show some intensity and send a message to his opponents.

As he was on the floor grappling with Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown, he got entangled in a heated altercation that sparked debates all over Twitter.

It was an extremely risky move by Draymond, who already had one technical after getting into it with Grant Williams.

The Warriors will always have a chance to win with Steph, Klay, and Poole in the lineup, but Draymond is very much the heart and soul of the Warriors.

Even when he’s struggling on the offensive end, he is a major asset to the team and very important to what they do. After a poor showing in Game 1, everybody expected Green to bounce back:

“That is the expectation,” Curry said of Draymond, per Marcus Thompson of The Athletic. “There’s no other way. No other scenario where I see playing out any different than him coming out with great energy, focus. Just making his impact felt on the court. I know he takes all that stuff personally in terms of his standard and what he knows he can do out there on the floor. So when he doesn’t meet that, he’s usually honest and accountable to himself first and foremost, to the team, and then you go out and hoop.”

No matter how things look now, the series is not yet over for the Warriors. As a talented, deep, and experienced team, they have enough to win more games and nobody should count them out until it’s over.

Still, Draymond’s play and availability is huge for the Dubs and his performance in these Finals has not been up to par.
